Dr. Kharthik Nattramilarasu, dedicated medical oncologist, pursued MBBS degree from RMMCH, Annamalai University in 2009 and trained under department of Radiation oncology at prestigious Adyar Cancer Institute for 3 years and awarded MD(Radiotherapy) degree in 2013 and also worked in the same department as Assistant professor for 1 year. After that, he was trained under department of medical oncology at meritorious Madras medical college and awarded DM(medical oncology) degree with Gold medal for exams held in August 2017.
He has experience in using all cancer drugs and also in treating all types of cancers successfully including palliative care for terminally ill patients along with team members(Surgical oncologist and Radiation Oncologist) . He is very much interested in treating Breast cancer, Ovarian cancer, Gastro Intestinal cancers, Head and Neck cancer and Lymphomas.
He has around 11 years of experience in Oncology in various departments and also has experience in giving all systemic therapy like Chemotherapy, Targeted therapy and Immunotherapy. He is currently practicing Medical oncology and first full time medical oncologist in Erode. He is visiting almost all major hospitals in Erode as a part of Onco Foundation team.
He has attended various state, national and international oncology conferences and updates his knowledge which is very important in treating cancer patients. Apart from treating cancer, he also involves in cancer awareness programme to educate the community regarding preventive aspects of cancer and make the people aware about cancer and its early detection, so that many patients would be cancer free and lead a peaceful life. As Padma Vibhushan Dr. V. Shantha , Past chairman, Cancer Institute, Adyar and doyn of oncology told many times, he also loves to hear that ‘no more cancer exists in world’.
